Unit 1: Character "Living on the Page"
This enrichment course is designed to spark creativity and deepen literary understanding through the lens of character development. As the first session in the Anatomy of a Story creative writing workshop, students will explore what makes fictional characters compelling, relatable, and essential to strong storytelling. Over 12 weeks, students will analyze character types, write original characters into stories, and learn how protagonists, antagonists, and supporting roles shape a story’s structure.
